Leah.Christianista Interviews Tony Hibbert II

During one of my frequent trips to the Garment District this summer, my cousin and I met these two "church boys" by the names of Timothy and Tony Hibbert II in a parking garage on 36th Street. After some quick witted humor and banter from yours truly, (and the arrival of our respective rides) we parted ways, but thanks to modern technology and social networking, we were all able to maintain communication via Facebook.

Its amazing who you'll meet if you'll just strike up a conversation! Tony Hibbert II is the Pastor of Pentecostal Worship Center Newburgh in Newburgh, New York, as well as artist, musical producer and songwriter in addition to husband and father. Being from the Bronx or "the city" as anyone outside of the five boroughs refers to it, I have been exposed to quite a few new city talent as a result of attending concerts, services and events of the like. However, being inundated with so many local talents, its easy to overlook surrounding areas that offer just as much, if not more.

I had the privilege to go beyond Facebook and sit down with Tony Hibbert II in the studio as he prepared for his upcoming West coast tour, Tony Hibbert Christmas, and interview him for Kingdom Girl Chronicles New Sound segment. Bringing this emerging contemporary sound across the Tappan Zee Bridge and straight to you. Tony Hibbert is a personable, ministry minded artist with a sensitivity to the move of God and a heart for souls and enhancing the Kingdom.

In His Presence is a smooth compilation full of contemporary praise and worship tracks great for a long ride, long day or devotional time with God. Also featured in his iTunes catalog are Tony Hibbert Christmas and his crossover track "Stained". Your iPod will appreciate you for it. ;-)
